indyld
This isn't a request for research help, but an offer of one. I often get asked to take part in interviews etc. for student research work related to lighting design and practice and, like most professionals, try to be helpful. I draw the line at my own students interviewing me, I'd rather they looked further afield. Anyway, am experimenting with a new method of helping people over distance (other than the usual Skype etc) and in a more structured way regarding booking. Google Helpouts is quite a new thing and the system may be of use to students looking to book in an interview. The first Helpout is free, so that is a good way of getting some sourced interview content for a research project for nothing and from the comfort of wherever you are in the world. Pop along and have a go: Stage Lighting Helpout :)
