MatSpencer Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Hi Have my network setup in the 10 range, iPhone logs in to router admin and can see the Expert connected to the router but the app won't find the console. Any suggestions? ThanksM
MatSpencer Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 Are both running latest versions? Yup, Just downloaded the App and Avo upgraded the software a few weeks ago!
stevelinus Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 on the pc side of things check what your network connection security settings are, usually home work or public if its not set to work then you will have problems as it blocks traffic
timsabre Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Stevelinus, there is no pc in this setup, it's just lighting console to network to phone. What does the app say, I've had a problem where the app finds the console but lists it as "unknown device" and won't connect to it. (android not iPhone though).
timsabre Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 10.48.82.6 It's probably the netmask settings that are wrong... The most certain way to make it work is to have everything in the same net segment ie. console 10.0.0.1iphone 10.0.0.2wifi router 10.0.0.254 or something like that if your iphone is 10.48.82.6 and your console is 10.0.0.1 you need a netmask of 255.255.255.0 on both to make them see each other
MatSpencer Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Okay, new settings still dont work. Phone 10.0.0.3Expert 10.0.0.2Router 10.0.0.1Subnet 255.255.255.0
timsabre Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Um, it sounds like some network config problem but hard to diagnose over a forum. Is there a function on the router to see what devices are connected to it?
