Shez Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Can anyone recommend any flying frames that would suit an Eiki LC-X85 (aka Sanyo PLC-XP200)? Are all frames generic and adaptable to any projector or are they generally dedicated to a particular model? Ideally I'd like one that could be used with more than model.
top-cat Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 The Audipack stack frames come in 4 different sizes so you can use them with different projectors... http://www.audipack.com/products/rid/99465/prid/107829/prname/projector_stackframe_projector_max_w570_x_d800_x_h300_mm.html this one would take the one you mentioned, but there are 3 others so you can find one that will take all your hire stock and then swap them as needed
Shez Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 At those prices, I can't see that happening unfortunately. Are they typical for such a product?
David Lee Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Can you invert those frames? Normally you fly projectors upside down. On the Sanyo mentioned, the mounts are on the bottom so they need inverting to fly. If you look at pic 6/10 you can see they had to tip the projector down. Not good really. Obviously there is the ubiquitous Unicol product but they are not cheap. I have seen people get them fabricated by local metal workers but these usually don't have the nice adjustments you see on decent frames. edit Looking at the pic a bit closer the answer is obviously yes as it is just clamps onto the rail so you can put them on the bottom. Looks a nice design. /edit
