Jivemaster
With a display marquee exhibition for my hobby coming up someone has offered a "overhead projector" which turns out to actually be an overhead mounting (Barco? ) three tube projector. Is this worth pursuing or not, I have to be polite -he's a friend and another volunteer for the society, but I have to be realistic. Would a couple of modern PC monitors be better and easier to assemble on a field site in a marquee?
David Lee
Without a doubt I would avoid a 3 gun projector. In a marquee it won't be bright enough and lining up those things is a long job.
timsabre
In a marquee it won't be bright enough... Image will be completely invisible...Some exciting xrays from those things though.

kerry davies
Thanks! Now (how) to politely decline the offer."Thanks mate, love to use it but I've been told it is just too heavy for normal marquees." Which it is, almost certainly.
David Lee
As an aside, if it comes with a flightcase I know of one person who used it as a coffee table.
