AC Lighting North Show

I was sent some information about this years show and it set me thinking.

There are not many companies that put on a show of this size at all let alone so far "oop" country. This year it is slap bang in the middle of what I assume will be the General Election campaign with my day job, so I wont get there this time!

The show is a lot more personal than the big ones like PLASA and I think you get a much better chance of seeing the gear and talking to an "expert" , and there is far more chance of getting into see one of the guest speakers .

What do other posters here think?

I've been to the last two or three - I'm in Manchester, so it's (in a funny sort of way) a cheap man's PLASA and also a good opportunity to see what's going on without the hassles of London. I like it, but there's never enough to drag me back for more than one day.

I think I prefer it to PLASA in some ways, for the reason you post - it's more 'intimate' and less crowded, for a start, as well as focussing on lighting and FX without the disco market edging in too much.

Just off hte top of my head late at night before bed...

I'm hoping to make it up there, however I'll have to wait till after my Student Loan comes through to book accomodation + transport - anyone know of any cheap digs nearby?

Peter,

I am exhibiting there and if you wanted to give me a hand to set up and man the stand while I go for the odd fag break, I would be more than happy to contribute towards your accommodation costs.

I'm going to be there - probably both days.

Definately the first, depends what's left and how likely I am to get into the seminars for the second.

I've been extremely out of touch for too long - it seems that cruise ships are only as modern as the date they were launched.

Mine certainly had very little that wasn't as old as the steelwork!

So I can reserve seminar seats?

I'd already sent off the form for the tradeshow, but didn't know I could do that for the seminars as well.

Email is winging its way to you!

(I'm assuming the confirmation email addy is correct)

We do not have a reservation form for the seminars but if you would like to view a specific seminar please let us know in advance to avoid disapointment.

Thanks

Jono
