rogueav Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I have a requirement for pick-up mics for tub chairs. To be used during Q and A at conference.... Presenters will be on lapel mics but as it is near CDG airport and I don't trust the French radio waves would like to cover my butt... Will be running multicore front to back so no problem with cabling...Just as an aside .. What is the radio frequency situation in France.. We are on the new Ch 38. .. .. .. Thanks
paulears Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 French Sennheiser app to find channels in areas of FranceFrench Sennheiser dealers are still selling Band E kit, as in our old band. They're just working in the TV gaps it seems. Look here if your French is ok - linkOur GB band kit isn't that useful - the translation of the advice in France has this summary:The following tracks will be used for microphoneswireless:•The UHF range of 470-790MHz shared withbroadcasting.•Range 863-865MHz frequency bandopen to wireless microphones so deregulated inEurope.•VHF range 174-223MHz newlyopened by the ARCEP decision by 2010-0849.Sennheiser does not offer material in thisFi.•Range from 1.785 to 1.8 GHz which will be opened byARCEP for micro current wireless 2011
rogueav Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Thanks for this.... so basically anything between 606 and 636 might work... seems like a trial and error strategy (hence covering ones butt approach)... paulears Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 It does seem to be a case of where here, we used to just slot in broadcasters and programme makers into the white space between TV channels, they're doing the same thing with their digital TV. They have the same deregulated channel 70 at the top, but the fact that Sennheiser have a phone app to help you avoid the TV channels suggests it's a bit more, er, fluid than our dedicated channel 38. Makes hanging onto old channel 69 kit sensible if you tour! That app could be very useful. I just downloaded the version for my mac and it's quite useful - you can select the tv transmitter where you are, the band of kit you have and it tells you which channels are going to be problems - highlighted in red. I'm not certain if in France you have access to all empty TV channels - my French isn't that good, but it looks as if you can buy any of the f=different band kit - so G band kit has a small overlap with our new GB band, and on the transmitters I quickly tried, the UK kit on the lower channels appear free?
LTN001 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 HiIf you still need a back up option, we've used Audio Technica AT915h mics in the past. Perfect for that type of thing.
