IOW Festival in Ryde.

Ok,

As part of the tendering process, Im throwing this open to the BR as well.

Any companies within this forum who would be interested in supplying an outside covered stage - around 10 meters by 8 meters, approx 40K PA and lighting for a 3 day family music festival in Ryde on either the first or 2nd weekend in August (TBC which one)

Im really looking for one company who can provide everything as a job lot.

Its low-mid-scale. Site liscence is for upto 5000 people.

Power etc will be on-site, but im told I will have a 63a TPNE supply.

The council are looking after all the other site logistics, toilets, power and so on. This remit is purely to supply a stage structure with complete technical systems.

Lighting ideally I would just like to use LED and movers to save on dimmers etc. Maybe a followspot ?. No video etc

Sound just needs to be a 'festival rig'. My man has recommended around 40Kw system. On-stage usual stuff. 6 aux mixes in mons world. One band if they can do it will bring their own X32 and CAT5 stage boxes with IEM's

Would just need 'the company' to supply / help install and then leave a tech to babysit the kit. I will be running lights most of the time and I have a sound man for the noise FOH.

Fit up on the Thursday and out on the Monday.

The ideal budget for this is upto around £6.5K If anyone would be happy to reduce costs slightly for advertisement / branding etc then that would help Im sure!!

Thats kind of the scope of it. If anybody is interested then please email me directly dominiclx@yahoo.co.uk and I can answer any questions and give you further info.

I am going over to Ryde this Thursday for a site visit and a meeting with members of the council committee and the police and after this meeting I can firm up details of excatly whats what - or 'Plan B' if the costs are going to be well over the budget and a re-plan needs to be made.

Cheers

This is the first time for the event. If it is a success, then it will be an yearly event and your'll have got yourself a nice little gig annually. :)

UPDATE:

May I just add that this project is being funded by Ryde Town Council and organised by the Ryde Carnival Committee.

At the time of writing, I was unaware of any significant production companies on IOW - and now that I have been contacted by some, as this is a local project we would prefer to use suppliers as much as possible on the Island.

Many thanks for your interest.
