Old School 35mm projection

Anyone know any good places for getting hold of good quality new or second hand 35mm slide projectors?

Ebay - carousels, the mainstay of the AV industry for years go for silly money, so low sometimes that the postage puts people off, not the price of the projectors!

 

From time to time, you even see the odd xenon version too.

ebay is awash with them as they are literally worth nothing now- every college will also have a fair few probably with optional long throw lenses that they never use, so its worth pestering them too.

 

we had a fair few and I swapped the last of our 400w simda units for a gregs vanilla slice then threw in a couple of Kodak sav1000s for good measure.

You can be choosy there are so many around. The models I have (off eBay!) have integrated dimmers, and can be entirely controlled through RS232.
