Bryson
I'm not entirely sure what you mean Chris. I haven't used these things, but they appear from the spec sheet to be DMX compliant, so what DMX controller do you want to use them with? Do you mean you need a Fixture personality for them? Best thing to do in that case is refer to the manufacturer of the desk you're using. PS: I don't normally go in for this sort of thing, but there's a spell check button right underneath where you enter your posts, and capital letters and punctuation are proven to make your posts easier to understand, and therefore get useful info back from. Bryson
I assume the palm pilot is running Handshake. Never used it, but it appears from the manual that you need it (or a Hog 2!) to set the start address. (Sounds like a bad idea to me, but hey!) According to the manual it's a regular 8-channel fixture, so once you've set the start addresses on the EC2s (I'd suggest 1 and 9, consecutively) then your DMX controller should be able to control the fixture on those DMX channels. And once more. Please try and post in plain English. When we're discussing something reasonably complicated, the last thing we need is to have to try and decipher unpunctuated, misspelt english. Try reading the following and see which one is easier to understand.what I have is the DMX programmer from Elation.Id like to use it if I can but I no when I use the plum pilot it has to find a fixture then when it does it gives you a address.do you no can I pass all that and just use my DMX programmer thanksWhat I have is the DMX programmer from Elation. I'd like to use it if I can, but I know that when I use the Palm Pilot it has to find a fixture, then when it does it gives you an address. Do you know if I can bypass all that and just use my DMX programmer? Thanks. This is my final warning on that matter.
