LXbydesign
Hey Peeps, As well as the routes Im trying - does anybody know any nice little companies in London that can repair scans - just fairly basic ones like Roboscan 812's and Mojos. We have a mojo with faulty DMX board and a clubscan which dosent lamp up even though though fuses and lamp are ok. Dont really want to be ripped off going to the big-boys or the cost of repair would overtake the cost of a new unit probably - so a smaller outfit would be better or even a private job .. Regards.. mrboo
The cost to repair them are not really worth it. there 3 Roboscan 812 on ebay for £95 each and mojo at £35 each when your talking about say £15- £25ph and finding the spares at a good price unless your hot swaping parts from 2 bad units you be better to just put them to rest and start buying led scanners for your venue. sad to say but it be more a hobby person who would touch them now. LXbydesign
I think your right Boo! There isnt the finance to upgrade all the scans to LED yet - but I'll do the e-bay thing and buy 2nd hand units to replace the knocked out ones until such time . . LXbydesign
MODS - you can shut this down if you like. The matter has been dealt with and the info isnt really much help to anyone else. Cheers
andylouder
actually it is quite useful , I also have a bunch of 812s in a venue in central london , some of which work and some which need repair , and was also curious as to whether it would be worth getting someone more familiar with them than myself to have a look at them , that was central london based to avoid any transport costs. I also dont quite have the budget at the moment to bin them and replace them with something more modern right now and I am not that keen about LED kit. So the point made that they are probably an uneconomical repair has given me something to consider.

When you say need repair whats up with them as if it a easy fix I be happy call in and sort them when am in London next it may be the case you will get one of your units working again out of others. sometimes it maybe a really silly repair that will cost you the cost of a fuse. or a motor Also look athttp://www.martin.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=42 and ask about 812 on the martin board
