What is the difference between freezing a fixture and parking it?

I'm not much of an expert on Titan [groans all round] but Park with Avo was always a fixture that got put aside if another was assigned overlapping DMX channels. It remains in the patch (unlike a Delete) but is not controlled or assigned DMX channels.

My understanding of Freeze is that it's like Park on other consoles: The fixture is overridden with particular attribute values and remains unchanged until it's (presumably) Unfrozen.

That's pretty much it.

Park = no DMX address. An example might be to park a group of fixtures prior to exchanging and then repatch.

Freeze = hold an attribute (or an entire fixture) at the state it was at when frozen. A typical example would be intensity. This state will be remembered in saved shows and restored on load. Unfreeze to regain control.

So this is different to "park " on most every other console then?

Indeed... the thing is Avo have been calling this "Park" for a very long time... since the first Pearl Rolacue came out in 1995 or whenever it was. The fact that other manufacturers have later come along and used the term "Park" to mean something different is just one of those things.
