Hi,

I have a show every day In the same teatre controled by a titan one, but I need to put there a backup solucion In case the computer crashes...The show have 40 cues and I want samething to record in the cues.

We also use same Shape fx's and smoke That we could lose, but it woun't compromise the show...

I Found chauvet LX GO, ano other ideias?

I think nic is on the right lines here tbh. at least with another computer and dongle you would be able to pick up the show where you left off easily, where as with a DMX recorder that will be clunky at best to achieve.

Nic has the best solution, seems a shame to go from a sensible virtual console to a piece of disco tat! If you do need a DMX recorder I can hire one to you (I won't sell it as too useful and cost a fortune!) I have the swisson xrc which can record all the changes to lights (including chases for moving heads etc) rather than just a cue or a look and can be used as a virtual time-line if needed... The earlier version only had one DMX output but the same spec other than that here : http://www.swisson.com/en-DMX-recorder. sales@jameismagictorch.co.uk is best place to get hold of me as I don't come on here very often...

The botex DR512 also sold under the Elation and Oxo brands has a DMX-backup facility. You can configure it so that it's in line with your main DMX desk and acts passively under normal circumstances. If the DMX crashes or disappears, the DR512 will seamlessly take over and replay any chosen sequence, scene or cue, looping it for ever if necessary until valid DMX data is received from the main desk, when upon it goes passive again.
