Mr.Si
Hi, I have an MTR DI-2 (a 2 channel active DI box). Recently I tried using it with a gtr or keys (can't remember which). But all I was getting from either channel I tried, was a really nasty clipping type of distortion signal and a bit of the clean signal, but not really much. what do people think the problem could be with the box? (I basically tracked it down to this device).I have another MTR box a DI-3 (single channel active DI), but this one works absolutely fine. Could it be the circuits? Thanks, Simon
tour monkey
I had this problem with a D.I once before, it was pretty cheap and nasty so wasnt totally surprised to be honest!! I tracked it down to being 2 or 3 dry solder joints inside, I've used a few of the MTR D.I's and have always found them to be pretty good build quality. Might be worth pointing out that messing around with a soldering iron inside may void warrantee's etc. Sorry for sounding patronising if that does! Hope this helps!
