KidRay
Our singer loves her Beyerdynamic TGX-80, and with the demise of the Sennheiser plug-in transmitter that she was using (which was too large and heavy in any case), she is looking at the Opus wireless radio mics, specifically the ones with the TGX-60 capsule.Does anyone know if there is a hire company in the North West (Liverpool/Manchester area) that has them in their hire stock as we'd really like to do an A/B comparison with the wired TGX-80? (Before anyone asks, it's not really an option to use a wired mic due to the nature of the show!)

I can't comment on specifics but I have noted recently that a few bigger hire companies inventory lists online are are long out of date and almost never comprehensive, so it is a case of ringing round unless someone by some miricle has stumbled across the same mic to hire. I would try Wigwam first then Arran Paul Ltd in Poulton - they are the only companies I know that a VERY wide stock range. the former more so than the latter.
