peza2010 Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 VLC may do the trick?? http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
crazyshaun Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Tried that cant find rhe option for the 2nd screen on output it only lists default
CallumP93 Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Screen monkey will do what you want to do, you would just have to link clips to make it run through the list.
crazyshaun Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Does screen monkey not have a loop/replay list option?
AHYoung Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 vlc does exactly what you want, just a matter of stting it up correctly. tools > preferences and its all there... been using vlc instead of media servers for a few things where all that needed is single videos started on cue and its worked well. remember and set your desktop background to black and with the assignable hotkeys you can run a fairly complex show with everything in front of you on the control screen.
David Lee Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 AHYoung, is there a setting in VLC to force it to output to the 2nd monitor or do you create a playlist as I cannot find an option for it. Ta
jason5d Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 vlc has all you need, so stick with it.The 2nd window option is deep in the preferences,it's a copy of the 1st window that you move to the other screen
AHYoung Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 you just drag the output window onto the second or extended screen and there it stays with the controls on the main window. 10 minutes of messing around and you will have it cracked, remember and turn the annoying file tile that displays over the first 5 seconds of every clip thats in preferences - osd.
