Liam Blend Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Hi Blueroom, First post here so first of all hello everybody, I found answers to many a problem on here in the past so I'm hoping someone can help with this.. We recently bought a used Sanyo Xp100 Projector, unfortunately we were given a remote for another sanyo model with it which only operates the menu's not the major functions we need (power, lens shift etc). The seller now can't find the correct remote but has offered to buy one and have it sent to us, the only problem being with sanyo now gone I can't find anywhere to get hold of one. Can anybody point me in the right direction for somewhere that might have one in stock, new or used? Failing that perhaps a supplier for a 3rd party/universal remote? Thanks in advance, Liam
Gareth A Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I actually lost one before for a XP-100, and these guys were able to source. Be afraid, they are not cheap. Though Sanyo themselves have been swallowed up, Panasonic should be able to help. http://www.avpartsmaster.net/catalog/index.php?main_page=av_projector_remote_replacement&zenid=895eco1s2otopjdjq5a0vd9ej4
dbuckley Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 remotecentral.com have a file for the XP-100 here for a pronto: if that goes you could then clone the condes into a cheap universal remote.
pstewart Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Charles Hyde still lists Sanyo spares. If they don't have it and can't get it, then maybe Multicare can help. Philip
AHYoung Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 from memory a xp100 remote is the best part of £100. We can sell you one, but thats just adding ourselves to the list of perferly reasonable suggestions allready given. Id not bother with a universal as the Sanyo remotes are fairly rubbish and suffer from limited range, meaning that you will want to use it hard wired which you need the original for.
Gerry Faurie Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Give Panasonic spares( Berkshire) a call - they will supply it for you - but because you dont have an account you would have to pay retail price with a credit card
Liam Blend Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Thanks all for the suggestions. For anyone in the future I was able to arrange getting a replacement from Panasonic direct for around £85 which hopefully my seller is sorting out. They may suggest you need a panasonic account depending on who you talk to but it is possible without if you persevere.
