Magic Q Issues

Hi All,

 

I am using Magic Q PC Edition for the first time on a small Panto next week and I am having problems with using a cue stack. I have programmed the shows 104 lighting cues into a single cue stack and set the fade times and all was working well until I finished programming the second act. I have obviously pressed something that prevents and overrides the fade times as now all of the cues do not fade, just snap to blackout or the next lighting state.

 

Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this?

Open the Cue Stack window by double-clicking on the 'S' key. On the right should be several soft buttons, including one marked 'Chase Xfade'. Try setting this to 100%. Setting it to zero will snap between cues.

That soft button is only active if you are using chase timing. I suspect that you have pressed the button marked Chase Timing at the top of that same window. You need to press Cue Timing to use conventional fade times.

Had the same problem just today being a first user too, think Drv is right. also check (roughly) page 114 of the PDF manual.
