Wingwalker Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Does anyone know which barn door will fit the Chauvet Slim Par Pro's? Chauvet themselves don't make any for that unit but I've heard it can be done.
Andrew Edwards Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Forgive me but I thought that a barn door did not work on an LED of this type. I was of the understanding that a barn door would just block off some of the individually focussed sources and not achieve the same result as a traditional single sourced fixture.
timsabre Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Barn doors can be useful on LED par cans (and indeed halogen par cans) for removing light scatter from the edges of the beam - but you can't shape the beam like you would with a fresnel.
Don Allen Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Try a PAR56 barndoor rather that a PAR64 barndoor as a lot of led par's have thick cast aluminium colour runners.
Wingwalker Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Yes I've been told there are runners that attach to the front to allow the barn doors to hang from but are the 56's big enough??? David.
Nicktaylor Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I must say I thought that an odd suggestion. Par 56 and 64 have different number for a good reason, theya re a different size, why would a 56 one fit in 64 runner? Surely it would just fall through?
