TroelsM
Hi there. I'm working on making a better music-trigger for intelligent lights and I need some input. The "silly thing" is that most light designers appreciate that the light is in sync with the music, but does a dancing audience in a disco see any difference? I would guess that most people unconscious would "like" the show better when everything is in sync, but how much difference does it make in the end? I would like to hear from anyone who has an opinion on the subject. I don't suppose that there are any "scientific" studys on the subject? Locksmith
In the club I work in, we only use the music trig in the main room on Fridays and Saturdays. The rest of the week the Behringer is set to different timings for the trig. This is mainly because the sound level is not high enough so the fixtures just sit there doing nothing. I've deliberately set the timings for each fixture to be different (also not factors of each other) so that they are not only out of sync with the music but with each other too. Nobody seems to notice the difference except me. I'd rather sync everything, but the punters just want music, alcohol and a body to grope on the dance floor. If you know how to increase the sensitivity on a behringer I'd be happy to hear it.
