Jivemaster
I'm looking for some value for money software to edit a short video. Currently the file runs for over a minute but only about 15 seconds is useful, I simply need to top and tail the clip. Any suggestions on cheap or free PC (XPpro) software would be good please. I don't know what format the file is in but it plays in Real Player.
paulears
Windows own product will do it IF the file format is one it understands? You will need to find it out, but its likely you already have it. However you can get a thirty day trial on adobe premiere which may help although its not the easiest to learn.
MarkPAman
Also Sony Vegas has a free trial, though I don't know what the restrictions are. But, as Paul says, try the Windows Movie Maker first.
