dave e
Wondered if anyone could help, I came across a supply company who used some funky little brackets that fit into the metal work for polystyrene ceiling tiles. These can then have lightweight units (such as minims and minuettes) attached. Im looking to get a hold of some and after hours of fruitless searching I cant find a manufacturer - can anyone help?? Cheers in advance.
Ian Ferguson
I think the item you need is a Manfrotto C1000 which clips onto the rails between ceiling tiles and ;eaves you with a spigot to hang your light on, there is also a C1005 which attaches in the same way, but is a hook to get a cable accross the ceiling. Both of them can be found by entering the part number on the search page of their website Manfrotto website product search Please contact me off forum if you need more help or want to buy them. mikienorth
Just remember to attach them to the main support parts of the ceiling, that is the ones that run the width of the room, and not the little linking ones (it's easy to see above the ceiling, the main supports are taller) Most electrical wholesalers also sell a rotatable clip that has a 6mm thread on it for fixing items to this sort of ceiling, and can be very useful, but not as designed fro purpose as the manfrotto stuff.
