very nice to see additional contributions from thos in the know.

the show outside buckingham palace was stunning, the video projections were lovely. hats off to the video crew.

I was very impressed with the audio from the balcony and the orchestra @ victoria stage, the wireless mics and iem must have been very complex.

and so clear this morning, the get out crew must have earn thier wages this weekend.

two flipping great pianos up there... hats off to stage crew again.

do you suppose the royal box had speakers and screens hidden out of public view?

I do think aunty should put matt baker back on a farm and keep him there.......

Subs are definitely Funktion One F118.

I can't identify the tops, but they are Funktion one style horns, maybe an unreleased proto, I really don't know their range well enough... other company I'm afraid ;)

The "horns" are actually designed for stadiums etc, narrow dispersion and very directional.. one of the barges had Guy Barker's Big Band on, this was mixed below deck with a set of Funktion One monitors with Tony Andrew listening over the engineers shoulders.. this happened whilst people walked along the bank with iPads/laptops controlling the XTA gear tuning the system. very clever...

Head this from the engineer

Firstly the horns are Funktion One MST10's,

and Robert you're almost right. The engineers WERE below decks mixing on monitors but the wireless XTA control, from the river bank, all happened on the sound check days in March.

On the day we only had a 10min sound check, as we passed Chelsea Pier on the way to the holding area, and that was done with someone on the pier with a walkie talkie!
