norty303
Looks like they've added a grating or grating wheel into the beam path, and maybe added some abstracts into the onboard ILDA board. All classic old school laser effects.
LXSX
Ok got the kam laserscan 1000 3D yesterday and they are pretty cool for the money if anyone wants to see a video let me know I'll see what I can put together !! 1338466305[/url]' post='441620']Looks like they've added a grating or grating wheel into the beam path, and maybe added some abstracts into the onboard ILDA board. All classic old school laser effects. Can't beat the old school effects your right they have added some great effects like a plasma ball effect along with some modern cluster effects however the 3d cubes and waves are awesome ! smyles
I would be interested to see a video if you get a chance to record one. The effects on KAMs site look amazing.
norty303
Very impressive but they come with the price tag! What, you mean dirt cheap?Seriously, a couple of years ago you'd have spent at least that just on the basic laser projector without the gratings and lumia stuff. chamb
I had a KAM 100 3D Laserscan come that nearly blew up on me. A replacement came and is now stopped working during a tech. It's got the red power light flashing on the front of the unit and there seems to be now power to the controls on the back. There's no smell of burning or obvious damage. It's been turned off for a while now so I'm ruling out over heating. Anyone got any suggestions?

Anyone got any suggestions? send it back? sounds like the one of the colour laser modules has gone down and taken the power supply out with it. chamb
Now that I've got it down I can see that the fan is "trying" to spin, but does it sporadically but never at full speed. Richard CSL
if the fan is trying to spin, it means the voltages are wrong, so the power supply is definately at fault. ask for a replacement or send it back. Those power supplys are not repairable.
Thomas1987
Anyone know anywhere hiring these out in the North West? My usual sources have failed - would suit an event I'm doing next Saturday.
