JCC1996
Hi, I remember a while back a topic about sending video down an audio multicore and I think that the answer was that this was possible. However, I would like to know if it is possible to send video down a 3.5mm jack cable? Its a slightly hypothetical question but it all comes down to what cable I have at a long enough length so I would like to know if it is possible to convert a phono video source to jack, through the jack cable, then convert it back to phono to the output? brainwave-generator
Yep, the way you describe in your second paragraph will work fine.
J Pearce
Suck it and see!I've happily it video running down 100m of XLR and got a usable if not perfect image out the other end. I've also failed to get a useful image out of 20m of what was supposed to be video coax.
JCC1996
For the record, it worked perfectly!! Even with the less than ideal assortment of adapters that me and the other technician could rustle up at short notice!!
Oldradiohand
BBC news would occasionally extend their round London coax ring with twisted pair. Apparently they could EQ up to half a mile of audio circuit added to the coax.. Thank god for satellites.
