Zero 88 Fat Frog

Hi All.

I know I'm a little old fashioned here, bear with me. I am a sound gut not a lighting guy - hence I need help.

In my venue I have an old Fat Frog desk, with floppy disk drive etc. I have recently aquired 4 moving heads for next to nothing and want to used the fixtures section of the desk, something we have never used before. I am able to get the personality fixture from the Zero 88 web site, the moving heads we have are listed under the version 23 list of fixtures. I can down load the fixture library, un-zip etc, and I even have an old lap top with a 3.5" floppy to record on to. My problem is the library file is too large to fit on to a floppy disk. In theory I only need one fixture, not the 2000 odd on the library.

Is there a way I can just down load the fixture I need instead of the entire library, to enable me to save it to a disk and install on to the desk?

Any help greatly appreciated.

How big is the file you've got? I've just had a look on their site - it's 1.1MB which will easily fit on a normal 1.44 MB disk...

Hi Ralpheboy,

You need to use the Common Fixture Manager, which is included in the 'Fixture Tools' download from the website, to select the fixtures you wish to use on the Fat Frog. You then save the file onto the floppy disk that just included these fixtures.

Hope this helps,

Zero 88 always very good with support. What has happened is you have tried to download the full file structure that is for later desks and use a USB stick. Somehwre on the site is the version that is less than 1.44M in size as another poster is obviously looking at. Off to find a link!
