mounting two plasmas between two trusses

Hi guys,

I have two 1.5m quad global trusses and would like to mount two 51" plasmas horizontally between them. Is there anyway I can do it? Something like the picture but instead of the stands on each side there would be single trusses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Isn't it better to mount one to each truss ans sandbag or stage weight the bases? Can't see why you'd want to do otherwise. If you were intent on mounting between two trusses, I'd suggest buying or hiring another length of truss & corner blocks rather than popping a pipe between, pipe will sag...

Thanks guys much appreciated. Do you know what adaptors/clamps I need to mount the horizontal truss onto the vertical ones? Also the screens are each 1.19m long and I would like as little gap as possible between the screens so is there anywhere where I can get a bi truss of arond 2.2m length ** laughs out loud **.

Cheers

The "what adaptors/clamps" and the "2.2m truss" question really relate to what exact type of truss you have. For example, Global truss do a 0.5m length, which you could add to a 2m length, which is probably as close as you'll get. But if you're using "DJ Dave's Dodgy Disco Truss" then you'd have to go with the same brand parts.

Likewise, if you've got bolt holes on the end of the truss you might be able to stick half-couplers onto it and bolt on to the vertial trusses. Or you could use corner blocks, which IMO would be a better option, but this might mean having, say a 1m piece, then a corner block, then a 2m piece, to get the screens at the right height.

Or you might have to get an end-plate manufactured which attaches to your truss and provides a clamp to attach to the verticals.

More information please!

Edit: I re-read your OP and I see you've got Global. You might find that you need to purchase or hire something else, then, to make it do what you want. From the diagram you've drawn, unless your screens are tiny (which I doubt they are) then by putting them on a 1.5m upright, you won't have much if any truss sticking out over the top!
