Selecon Pacific Gobo Holders

Hi there,

has any one ever substituted another gobo holder for a Selecon Pacific one?

We stock S4s but I'm doing an event in a theatre that has pacifics.

Am looking to do metal break ups so I'm not interested in ecetates etc.

Failing this does anyone know the size of the gate in the Pacific so I can 'jimmy' it?

Cheers.

G

Have you hunted on the selecon site ? here suggests 86mm but I am not sure. I was not even aware you could get "B" size holders my ones are only M.

For what its worth there is a Pacific template on the wiki I think, and a printed breakup will be fine in them.

Here suggests 86mm

If you cannot get it in acetates will be ok. a bit dimmer but ok.

Thanks,

I did wonder about those sizes.

Might have to make something out of cinefoil...

Different lens tubes use different sized gobos - 12-24 degrees need M size, 23-50s take A or B size (and by assumption, 5.5-13 degrees take M, 45-75 take A or B). Might be worth checking which lenses the units have before you find gobo holders!

As GridGirl has stated above, different types (zoom/fixed/beam angles) need different gobo sizes, and therefore different gobo holders.

DHA/Rosco do offer some third party gobo holders, but not for all models.

The White Light Reference manual is your friend here:
