Weird intermittent projector power issue?

We've got a Sanyo XP50 (we've got two actually) but one of them has a weird intermittent power problem - when you first connect the IEC power lead, the 'power' LED flashes for a fraction of a second, then goes out. After that, the thing won't turn on, but if you unplug it and leave it for around 20 minutes, then plug it in again, it usually fires up first time......weird!!

Any ideas?? Some sort of capacitor issue? Somebody mentioned that a lot of these projectors have special logic boards that control all the power issues (rather than your power lead connecting directly to the lamp and main boards etc) so could it be a fault in there??

It's not a 'problem' as such, it just gives us a little worry every time we have to use it that it won't start up this time! :(

Search for the manual as at the end of it there is a warning light diagnostic section. It does say though that if warning temp and ready flash then there is an abnormal condition and if it continues the projector should be turned off to avoid electric shock and returned to a service centre.
