Smoke m/c fault

Hi folks....I've got the most irritating fault on my fogger.

It's in great condition and I really don't want to chuck it away...but it's next to useless at the moment.

Switch it on, let it warm up, green light on remote lights up....press the button and a tiny cloud of smoke emerges...then nothing.

Switch it off, switch it on again...it's immediately ready and again....a small puff of smoke...and then nothing.

I assumed it was clogged up and gave it a clear with white wine vinegar & DI water.

Still no improvement.

Beginning to suspect this may be an issue with the electronics rather than the mechanics I completely isolated the pump and reservoir....disconnected them from the heater unit.

But left the heater unit connected up so that it heats up and the temperature sensor is still attached (so the electronics will activate the pump when the heater reaches temperature.

Again....let it heat up....press the button....the pump pumps a small amount of fluid and then stops.

I've come to the conclusion that there is something wrong with the electronics and as it's a cheap unit, doesn't seem to be worth it to spend any more time on it...

But does anyone have any ideas before it goes to the tip?

Thanks!

Andy

Its the electronics. Ive got 2 of them here, 1 of which displays exactly the same fault (Pumping for 2 seconds, then cutting out). Called the distributer, and they essentially said its a fault on the PCB. Not even worth figureing out what it is, for the cost of a whole new board ($70-$80AUD?)
