peza2010
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what functions can be controlled via MIDI on Titan mobile. Can it be used for flash key/fader control, or is it for timecode purposes? I ask because I will be using the mobile for a show later in the year, and could do with a few more faders / flash keys at my finger tips, possible with using the bcf2000. Does anyone know if it is possible to do this? Also how easy would it be to set up? Is it a case of the touch "learning" the MIDI values and then assigning them to something? Phone won't let me download the manual at the moment for some reason.
rossmck
MIDI can be used for timecode, you can also edit triggers from the System menu on the Titan - Triggers can be anything (a hardware button or fader move, a playback, fixture, palette, macro etc) and you can set them with a "Learn" function as you describe. Never used it in a production environment but I've poked at the MIDI support in the past and it works well.

peza2010
Hi all.. I got this all up and running and its working great. However a day off has got my brain throwing ideas around which may or may not be stupid. The show I will be using this setup on do not run timecode unfortunately, and there is no easy way to implement it either. however they do run some click track. It got me to thinking... click track sent to my computer, into a daw, with some sort of VST that can detect tempo from audio, which then in turn can set my tempo for my chases on titan mobile. would be brilliant.. is it possible? I might be insane, but ya know! Cheers, George
niclights
No. I would assign chases to a speed master, listen to the click on headphones and tap the tempo onto the speed master. Much simpler.

Much simpler. Thought would be the case. listening to the click and then tapping tempo is a tad pointless, as I can do away with the click and just tap tempo the songs as normal. Ken Coker
However, you could put your tracks into something like Reaper and add a time code strip for each track...obviously I don't know what exactly your show is.WinAmp generates time code I think, although I've never done that. has been posted before, but may give you a few ideas. If you have a touch screen, remember you can load the playback window onto the screen and run it from there....which is what I do if I have a band in my club - the playback window occupies the left half of the screen and the colour & gobo palettes the right half. Hope these rambling musings are of some help KC
peza2010
that would be possible if the band wernt so against using a laptop for playback. unfortunatlythe track come from an sd card player.
dbuckley
Sir needs to scour eBay for a Voyager Beat Extractor, which turns music into MIDI clocks. Sir then needs to make sure that his lighting control system can accept MIDI clocks, which is not the same as MTC. Then Sir can enjoy having lighting stuff happening on the beat. (yes I know the rolacue os split.. but still)

(yes I know the rolacue os split.. but still) You can't do it on the roller playbacks, the MIDI commands are just like operating the controls on the console. However on the Expert you can save playbacks on the preset faders or in the Playbacks touch window, and you could trigger those by MIDI if you set up the midi profile to do it.
