Rafael Nogueira
Anyone knows how to link grandMa OnPc with a Midi Sequencer? I tried unsuccessfully to find video tutorials. A little help will be appreciated. Cheers
Daveman
You'll need a virtual MIDI port extension, like MIDI Yoke (http://www.midiox.com/index.htm?http://www.midiox.com/myoke.htm). This does work under windows 7, despite what it says on the website, but you need to disable UAC (http://help.touch-able.com/kb/installation/midi-yoke-installation-on-windows-vista-or-windows-7). In the main MAonPC window (the one with the hardware controls), left-click the yellow circle in the very top left, and select options. Choose the MIDI tab, and select MIDI Yoke ports as your MIDI In and Out devices. In your sequencer, use the same ports and you'll be able to send MIDI to OnPC. Enter setup in onPC and select 'Remote Inputs Setup'. Go to the 'MIDIRemotes' tab and right click on 'new' to create a new remote setting. The only way of controlling functions is via note-on messages. To control a fader you need to send note-on messages, where the velocity of the note sets the fader level. (A note-off message is just a note-on message with a velocity of 0, so this will zero the fader). Setup what you want to control in this window and you should be good to go.
