sither
Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help me? Im running a video show using overhead projection in a live environment and am looking for a suitable rackmount (or not) media player. I wish to play video files (any format) I can convert as need be through a player without burning to disc. I dont want to introduce a spinning disc that might have fingerprints or be affected by bass vibrations so Im looking for a solid state player maybe USB flash drive but it has to be rackmount size (rack ears optional) I dont want to go laptop or PC as the units only duty will be playing movie files. As this is a stage environment a screen with the ability to display track information would be good, further points that would be good would be an auto pause facility. I guess Im looking for something like I already have (http://tascam.com/product/md-350/) for playing my minidiscs but something capable of playing video instead. Im happy to go with a lower end of the market product if it gives me the flexibility I need..........many thanks for any information. The ability to play formats outside the DVD structure would be preferable, mpeg or AVI spring to mind
