matthewolorenshaw
What do people prefer using in a TV studio.. Intelligent lighting or Tungsten lighting.. and why do lighting designers prefer the new age lighting.
Joe Bleasdale
Sounds like a homework question... But in TV, tungsten is still budgeted for first and comes before just about anything else. Moving lights and LED come afterwards. Thanks.

Oldradiohand
I've worked in several studios that had a mixture - CFLs for softs and tungstens for keys and backlights. Cuts down on the ventilation requirements, especially as accountants tend to want you to convert offices into studios and don't understand the problems of sound isolation and aircon!
