durian
so we have Qlab w/ videowe are also lucky to have 2 month old Xeon Dual core mac pro desktop (intel 3.2Ghz 8Gb 2Tb) I have read things Qlab is able to do rendering video using quartz composer. We had a touring company in that did stunning things like 'remapping' with Qlab. I have downloaded and installed the developer kit inc Q/ComposerI have trawled the web for tutorial and video help but have discovered very little. I did d/l the example file from Figure54 and ran it behind some video...... cool... could someone who has any experience at all in this area find the time to explain how one could best make use of this feature, and what 'it could do for me' kind of promotion so I can try to understand it better. I know little about graphics, I am sound and a bit of vieo projection. Content is not my forte, I just make it play for the end user. It would be nice to be able to say to my users (and students) something along the lines of " but if you did this and this and then zapped it with so and so it would be like this, which may suit you better" once I understand the whole rendering with quartz composer a little better...... many thanks happy to accept links or contributions :o
sleepytom
QC is a complex realtime visual programming environment. It can do lots of things.. The QC support in Qlab is somewhat limited, but it can do interesting things. have a look at http://kineme.net/ for some ideas and inspiration.
