gareth
Anyone ever managed to get WYSIWYG R19 to install and run under Windows 7? I'm stuck at R19, having finally had enough of throwing my hard-earned money at Cast every year in return for none of the fixes and updates that I asked for repeatedly - I've tried running the installer under various different compatibility modes, but it still falls over at the end with "Error: 7000" and fails to complete. Any suggestions appreciated.

DonkiDonki
Have you tried as an adminastrator? think its a right click option Yup. I'm sure windows 7 support didn't start until somewhere around r22, the best way to run older versions would be to have an alternate install of xp to run it on. tom_the_LD
I don't think Windows 7 support started until around R24 - I'm sure that's what Andy told me when I asked about it on here a while back. I've found that certain sound drivers in Windows 7 cause it to have problems. Try disabling all your sound devices in device manager and seeing if you get any further. My copy of WYG won't start unless I disable my sound card (M-Audio Audiophile) but once the application has started I can re-enable it again and all is fine! R24 was officially when support was introduced for Windows 7. I seem to remember R23 worked but wasnt officially sanctioned. Andy
gareth
Looks like I'm gonna have to find an XP installation to get at my WYG files, then . Thank goodness our LD Assistant packages should be arriving soon to go with our shiny new copies of AutoCAD - just need to bring all my old WYG files into the 'new world', then I can sack it for good.
