david.elsbury
The remote is the same syntax as the console : you don't say if it's the 300/500 series or the newer palette range, but read the manual or look for basic how to guides online.

J Pearce
300s and 500s run the same software and as far as I know the remotes are/were interchangeable.
AndyJones
grp # ON grp # REC# @ # or# @## (depending on what mode the desk is in!)CUE # RECCUE # GO NEXT REM dim (brings up the next channel on it's own) It's nice and easy to work out- it's beautifully logical! I miss the Strand 500 days :(
paulears
Don't forget that when you move to using groups, you need to know what's in them! all riggers controls give you the usual facility to bring channels up - but as you don't have the big screens, using groups can sometimes lead to seeing things happen you didn't quite expect. In general, just treat the riggers control as a remote of the most useful buttons. On the 300 and 500, it's doubtful the small difference between them will be even noticed by a beginner. Lighting_tech
Excellent thanks everyone. I'll be getting in touch with White Light soon to for a course in the 500 series as its not a desk I am familiar with. That will help more for future shows. Thanks again, Lighting_tech
