trying to find an old thread..

Hi guys I have 100 odd ways of art 4k dimming that flickers at 33 percent. I'm sure I remember a thread about it! Can some one point me to it! Much thanks :-)

Extra stuff, it's a blunt post as I'm on site trying to sort this issue. Sorry :-)

I've searched but can't find anything, and can't remember to much about it. I think it may have been in relation to three phase or supply!

Art 4k dimmers have a software bug

only a problem when using on single phase supply

when the dimmer auto detects single phase it claims to be loading single phase software but isn't. the lights then flicker randomly

solution:

remove power to one phase of the dimmer (ie remove one of the 3 control fuses)

turn on dimmer

dimmer gives message along the lines of "cant detect..... "

select single phase supply from the menu (down arrow from memory)

replace control fuse

repeat for each 12ch pack

Belated reply dude, but I was looking for something the other day and I came across the ECN that should fix this.

Basically there's a problem with the control card in 4ks whereby a high neutral impedance, such as when running off gennies, will cause the zeroX board to not ... well, sense the 0v X point! You need to replace R32,33,34 with quarter -watt 330R resistors, instead of the 1K's in there!

Lovely racks, I remember them well!

I do remember repeatedly bashing my head against those racks while saying it was potentially down to zero-x, yeah! It's out there now, and I didn't have your number in my UAE phone!
