dooron1
Hi everyone, I have been in this industry for over 40 yrs, I fully understand the DMX 512 protocol but I am not sure when running a DMX cable to a lighting bar, whether I can install several DMX out sockets to feed several led fixtures ie wired in parallel or if I have to have one DMX feed to the bar and daisy chain DMX to fixtures using their in/out sockets. Its just to keep the wiring tidy on the bar I'm sorry if I sound thick.
Ashley R
You can only have one outlet on the bar, and then daisy chain across all the fixtures. If you have multiple bar's, you will need a DMX Splitter. You can not simply just create Y Leads.
TonyMitchell
If you have multiple bar's, you will need a DMX Splitter. ...which, depending on the placement of your bars may be the best (tidiest / less cabling / most cost effective) option, alternatively just continue daisy chaining between fixtures. If you have over 32 fixtures on your DMX universe, you should use an opto splitter.
