jexjexjex
Evening troops. I know this type of thing has been done to death and that colour is all "subjective" and "what works for you" and/or what the designer wants, but... I'm on the hunt for ideas for a gel number. I've a couple of rock gigs coming up and I'm loking for a shade of blue that's got plenty of colout about it, isn't going to be too dark, too cold (Is there a warm blue?) and isn't going to get washed out by a PAR64. Everything I've got seems to be either at the dark end (L120, 716, 079) or light end (L117 and such like). I do have some L118 which looks great in front of a 60W lamp, but I think that'll get a bit washed out with a 1K PAR. All thoughts and ideas gratefully received. J Pearce
079 cooked for a few hours works well... ;) On a more serious note, L174 might work, or try doubling some of the lighter colours.
lampygirl
I like L195 for Rock n Roll type gigs. Its on the purpley end of blue rather than the greeny end through a 1k Par
niclights
L195 is very similar to L120 so might be too dark. L132 is a classic rock blue although I've not used it for a long time. For loads of punch you could try L141 but there's a lot of green in there.
Just Some Bloke
I can definitely recommend 715: plenty of colour to it but has a transmission of 6.8% as opposed to the 1.1% of 120 (thus 6 times brighter). Give it a go - I think you'll like it!
