Glow Powder ?!

the kid

Recommended Posts

Ive just been hunting glow sticks and found this over in America.

My first thought is how?

Then ok so you can make this stuff but really isnt it going to be really REALLY bad for you?

But I suppose a glow in the dark MAC/ROBE/V*L would be weird and cool

Its Already been done! Mad Lighting and Mad scan done it a few years ago with blue, pink, green, black, and U.V clours shells an so on for there units, it looked really cool in some clubs and pubs, I used to own 4 U.V orange ones,

Did it again another night, though was very drunk, well need I say more........ dont intend on doing that again

I can confirm this is much fun, but if they're anything like the ones we had they smell really really discusting, and I'm fairly sure they must be at least slightly toxic... :D

On a more serious note, the goo can stain really badly.

Yees im sure that I had literly just missed the "space galaxy"  Gareth.

I do know that the red ones are totaly crap thought.

oh Im looking for bulk buy I've found I can get 200-2000 4inch ones for 2p each.

Newer glow powders are Strontium Aluminate based, quite some differnce from the old Zinc Sulphide based glow, newer stuff will still glow visibly for hours .

One caution that SA based pigment won`t work with water based binders.

Couple of other suppliers:

http://www.readysetglo.com

http://www.glowinc.com/

Always wanted to try thing saw elsewhere, with 2 or 4 " chemical glowsticks with parachutes attached, lauched with compressed air `spud gun` made amazing parachute flares without the fire risk.

Care to pass on where youv`e found 4" as low as 2p in bulk?
