Nicktaylor
I have had four of these for years. Finally decided to clean them up to sell. Does anyone have link to the handbook. My frog is out on hire so trying to run them using my Magic Q but cant get the fixture set up right. As far as I can remember three were workers but one needs a bit of work as I replaced a dip switch block and managed to damage locally the PCB! I only really use moving Yoke type units now and the twin flight cases for these are taking up too much space!
david.elsbury
If it's the DMX mapping you're after, then I found the below linked topic on the Z88 forum, don't know if that helps at all? :) David http://zero88.com/forum/topic/221-tas-mini-ultrascans/page__p__786
Nicktaylor
Ha bloody ha!! :** laughs out loud **: It was about ten years ago I got them. Been sitting in the store forover six years. It is very useful you found that, I had no idea I had posted about it then!
Nicktaylor
In addition. My main desk is out on hire at the moment so trying to use my magicQ to test the units. None of them do exactlky the same thing, but I have no obvious way to know where the fault is. Back to testing output with "known" unit from the desk me thinks! The problem is finding something that more ore less matches the mini 2 fixture as the fault could be a corrupted DMX into or within the unit? Nicktaylor
Finally resorted to finding a PSU for a liteputer desk. Why did I not do that in the first place! It seems by plugging kit into magicQ while running it throws a wobbly and does not send DMX to the light! A small bit of servicing and three are good to go. The fourth one I think will be simpler to sell as spares or repair or preferably by a spares one that has the DMX pcb intact. Mine has had a new dip switch block fitted. I found a number of dry joints but on refitting the board still no luck The Red LED for DMX in not on at all. When I come to seel I would rather in pairs as there are some nice flight cases to come with them!
