JoshFlack
Hu Guys, just wondering if anyone else has had to do this or something similar. Need to process a video coming in on a phono to a computer and send it to the extended desktop.Got a program called DTV currently doing this, but the computer is soon to die, and its also on XP, so when I do upgrade to a new computer it will of course come with Windows 7.Unless anyone can suggest a program that will run on linux? Any suggestions or previous experiences would be great. Cheers.

Tow
I have been using vMix for a few months now. The basic (free) version will do the job for you and more.We were using Vidblaster but found VMix more stable and used less CPU power with our multiple cameras/sources.You dont say that your 'phono input' is, but if you want to use it with Windows 7 check if you can get drivers for it. Many older cards use BT787 chips, and the only company I know of which has Win7 64bit drivers for their 878 based cards is Osprey.
