Suzette
Just a quickie, as I can't seem to find the answer at the moment .... does anyone know how the mono output on the GL2200 is controlled? Is it able to be used to run the subwoofers from the mono control? Am looking at buying the GL2200 but just need to check that I can run L&R plus subs easily from the desk. Thanks all
Suzette
Think I have found the answer - a pot above the L&R faders with a recessed mono out switch to run either subs or a centre fill ????If this is wrong can someone please enlighten me! edark
the mono pot is just above the L/R fader, correct. It has a recessed switch which is marked:up = Monodown = AFL/PFL wedge monitor any help?
Suzette
Yep - thanks. I'm assuming that the pot will then control level of subs as a sum of the L&R when the switch is up.
PDD
It will control the level of the mono output to whatever you connect to it, yes, an amplifier and subs so be it. Some A&H desks have a mono mix buss but I think that one is a sum of L & R by the sounds of it. In wedge mode (switch down), it allows a monitor engineer to have a monitor speaker, or I suppose a local monitor generally.
edark
yes, but I'm not sure if its pre or post L/R fader
Shaun Foster
Looks like its Post fade L+R Sum or PFL/AFL with the switch down. Block Diagram

IanG
On an aside - if you have the auxes run the subs off an aux - you can keep the sends to just kick/bass/whatever and it makes for a much less muddy sub mix.
