simontaylor
I am on the lookout for a battery powered portable PA. Doesn't have to be mega-loud, and if possible not to expensive! I found this, but can't find a single review so wondered if anyone on here had any experience with it? http://www.samsontech.com/samson/products/portable-pa/expedition/xp40i/ http://www.samsontech.com/site_media/cms/images/product/samson/portable-pa/expedition/xp40i/XP40i_beauty-display.jpg Or, is there something else sub-£200 you can recommend? Preferably without dodgy VHF mics if possible! :D Thanks in advance, Simon
jamesperrett
I use the mains powered version of the one at http://dbtechnologies.com/index.php?id=22&L=0&tx_amdbt_pi1%5Bcategory%5D=20&tx_amdbt_pi1%5Bproduct%5D=347 and I find them very versatile as a small PA, onstage monitors and also for amplifying various instruments. No problems with reliability either. If I was looking for a handy battery powered system they would be the first that I'd consider though they're possibly more expensive than you are looking for.
