frankdog
Hi Forum I have a Martin 2308 and am trying to run up some Pro 218's. It seems the joystick is not working at all - I cannot control movement/ gobo/ colour etc, however the shutter works so I know the units are receiving data. Have checked internally and the connection is fine, and microswitches are activating. I have tested it with another joystick from a second 2308, and still doesn't work, so I suspect its something on the main board not functioning correctly. All other buttons on the front panel appear to work fine Has anyone got any tips on what might be wrong? I haven't tried an external joystick as I don't have one. 2308 is running firmware version 3.36. I also have a version 3 EPROM chip which I haven't tried. Also on power up, after it flashes the firmware version it flashes 611 - does anyone know what this means? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Lobster Lighting
Havnt used one of those for years but if memory servers me right "611" indicates the total number of scenes that can be stored in the unit. Have you had a look at the Martin site, manuals there even for the old stuff should help you out http://www.martin.com/service/service.asp?support=Disc
KevinE
Have you tried a factory reset? One of the biggest issues we had with these was the touch keys sticking down, causing other functions in the matrix to be locked out. I wonder if this might affect the joystick. I assume you are pretty au fait with the configuration?
