Ben99
Just wondering if anyone can help - I'm looking for 8 enamelled pendant shades to be used as practicals on stage. Ideally they'd be cream interior, and grey exterior (although green exterior would be okay too) and a matching set. If they were a bit dirty/chipped/rusty that'd be good too! Something like this: http://www.tamrhymes.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ben/greypendant.jpg I'm in the London area. The show fits up on the 6th Feb, and runs for two weeks. Tips for where to get would be great, or PM me if you have some of these that you'd like to hire / sell. Cheers,Ben99
the kid
It may sound strange but try a freerange chicken farm I've seen lots of those on them as there used to keep young chicks warm.
Matt
looks like the pendant from those really old like factories/warehouses for donkies yonks ago... I'd say possibly a scrap yard, or go along to old warehouses they are ripping out, see if they have any there. Matt.

Ian_P
Ikea do a lampshade like that, not quite the same but close, it's the LYRA pendant lamp, £5.50 to you, and just would need a coat of green paint o the outside to look like enamel. http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv...productId=12076 Even comes with the lampholder! SparkySteve
if only.... A couple of years back I was in a venue sorting some stuff out in thier understage area, they had between 10 and 20 of these lampshades, exactly the same as in the photo - a couple were converted into practicals for a show but I'm not sure what happened to the others. No-one at the venue knew they were there until we found them hiding away

Beamer
Hi - I've just registered with Blue Room having loitered for a while. I'll add something tothe "who are you" thread shortly but in the meantime, Ben99, can I ask what you did for this in the end? I'm lighting a production of "City of Angels" in May and I think that something like this would be useful for the mortuary. Thanks Guy
