jexjexjex
Hi all. Couple of questions relating to a Strand 300... First, can anyone tell me the best way to clean up that "fuzzy" blue surface on the fader panels? One that I'm a regular user of just looks a bit yuck at the moment and I'd like to give it a bit of a spring autumn clean. Second, Does anyone know how to secure one of said blue surfaces to the main panel? A corner of the main control panel is lifting and the philips type fitting in one of the corners simply spins round and doesn't seem to be doing anything. Will I need to remove all four of these and refix? Or if one is damaged, can someone suggest replacements or an alternative? Third - Does anyone know where I could get a couple of the fixing rods that hold the fader panels together? This particular desk is configured for 48 subs, and there is another fader panel to use with it, but it would make sense to bolt the whole lot together as per other desks. I assume that these would probably be a bespoke part - Maybe I'll have to try Usedlighting.co.uk. Last (For the time being...) - How do I set the panels up to read and operate all 48 subs? There's something on one of the set-up screens about panel layout. I assume that it's in this, which I think refers you to the small LCD screen where an option is "Panel scan" or something like that. All ideas gratefully accepted.
Ynot
Third - Does anyone know where I could get a couple of the fixing rods that hold the fader panels together?I believe I may have some of these floating around in a spares box somewhere...Last (For the time being...) - How do I set the panels up to read and operate all 48 subs? This is where you're likely to struggle. The licence key dictates how many channels and attributes the desk can operate on, and also how many subs are enabled.I believe Strand (aka Phillips) do still sell the licence upgrades, they're not cheap. Unless you find someone who has the 'tools' to generate them for you...
jexjexjex
Not quite, Ynot. This desk is already configured for 48 subs - The "Report" screen tells me so. It says something on the lines of "48 subs 2 fader panels". Also, if I set up the main screen to show subs only, there are 48 show up. I've also done a "Sub 48, Record" and it hasn't bleeped at me. A quck call to Northern Light may be called for... But, if you can PM me about the fixing rods and how to fit them that would be great - I'm sure we can come to an "arrangement"
