TomHoward
Morning all Not sure if this should be in Lighting or Props, but.. I'm looking for some Chandelier hire in or around Suffolk - for use indoors in a hall for a dinner. Ideally we'd like a decent size (4 foot plus). I'm looking mostly into Marquee hire companies but would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks, Tom

steveo
Not Quite Suffolk but Themetraders have a range of chandeliers I am sure they also deliver at reasonable prices
Brian
I believe that this might be available for hire...
Jivemaster
AMhire.co.uk have nice big glass ones for hire for real money. Look also at Starcloth.co.uk for their Shemmira, it hangs well and is made from flexible strands so it is less breakable in transit.
TomHoward
Thanks for the suggestions so far. We are looking at a Christmas Ball charity effort - so a prop one would be fine, it doesn't need to be real glass.
david.elsbury
Brian, where is that chandelier from? Looks suspiciously like a certain one from lot 666... :)
Brian
Brian, where is that chandelier from? Looks suspiciously like a certain one from lot 666... :)It is indeed Lot 666. It's the one we had a couple of weeks ago on the 25th anniversary production of Phantom at the Albert Hall. If you click on the picture you'll get an idea of the size of it. And it weighed in at over a tonne.
tommulliner
I company I worked for used a chandelier for a play about a month ago, decent sized. It was hired from a local antiques shop for free as the company director knew the owner. It was an £8K chandelier so they had to boost their insurance some what, but its an option for you.
