Pat_Ogham_Players
Hi allWe are a small drama group in east Cork and we are having issues with a zero88 betapack 3 dimmer pack (http://www.zero88.com/en/products/1/84) Specifically our trouble is with channel 3 on the unit, which is making our lights flicker. This occurred 2 hours in to a show, but thankfully right at the end, so the cast, thankfully hurried off, but we don't want this to happen again. Troubleshooting done.We have swapped around lights , to check that the lights are not giving us the problem, but there seems to be no issue on the lights. These are fixed lights and have only been used 20 times over a year, so I don't think over use is an issue, if anyone has any ideas, we would be most grateful. Thanks Pat
Junior8
is it just the lanterns on channel 3 or when you bring up channel 3 are all the lanterns flickering?
jonhole
Hi Pat, Could you PM me the Serial Number of the BetaPack that's causing you the problem? Regards,
JimWebber
As Mr. 8 says above, if it is only the lanterns connected to channel three that are flickering, then another step would be to prove/disprove the lighting desk. Re-Address the dimmer packs, and see if the fault moves... Jim
Ashley R
Hi Pat, Could you PM me the Serial Number of the BetaPack that's causing you the problem? Regards, I get the feeling that there might be a known issue with a certain batch of BetaPacks from Jon's request.
Pat_Ogham_Players
Hi all Many thanks for the replys. The flickering only happens on channel 3, and no where else, we swaped out the lights, and replaced with different lights to see if it was the lights, but there was no change. On swaping out the DMX controler lighting desk (Jetster memory desk) the board, I think it is possable to do a self test on the Beta Pack 3 DMX 6 way dimmer, with out the DMX Controler lighting desk plugged in, will have to do a bit of research on the dimmer pack if I can do this. I'll get serial numbers in the next day or two. Thanks again for the help. Pat

OllieH
Hit mode until you reach 'Manual' --> up and down arrows to select required channel --> enter --> set level with up and down arrows --> enter to confirm
SoLiEn
Ours does this sometime too, it seems to struggle if a lantern is at a low percentage so it flickers every thing. I may pm you our serial number too..
TomHoward
Believe it or not, we got our Betapacks out today to find CH3 had gone on one of them. Is this a known problem then? I haven't tested ours throughly yet but definitely pack and not lamp / DMX / etc.
jonhole
I get the feeling that there might be a known issue with a certain batch of BetaPacks from Jon's request. Not as far as I know! It's a standard request as over time parts within a product can change or get updated, such as the firmware etc.
