MarkPAman
Ahh - sorry I see what you mean now. You're going to use that as the dimmer, not as a way to control an existing one.
crashnflashDMX
Hi there! Just stumbled upon the Blue Room forum and seen your request for a DMX stomp box. YES INDEED. I recently designed a professional 4 channel RGBW stomp box DMX controller, actually the second generation to my patented Crash 'N Flash Stage Lighting Systems. The unit is for sale and works extremely well and user friendly. As you know, you can slave up to 32 fixtures or DMX controlled devices per channel. Please contact me at backbeatbob@crashnflash.com Thank you, and good giggin'!BobGood evening Blue Room, Here's the situation, a front man of a metal band has asked me to "light" his band. What he's after is a "stomp box" that he can stomp on and activate some blinders (Thomas 2-lite type of thing). Presumably a non-latching switch. I've been having a scope around the web and can't find anything simple enough to do the task he requires, everything seems to want programming and basic knowledge of how it works. What I need is a simple foot switch, that does 1 channel of DMX, that I can connect to a standard single channel dimmer. Does anyone know of anything like that? Imagine just the first flash button from a Stage / Level 12, on a pedal. The reason I don't want to use something programmable is that I don't want to have to worry that he'll mess it up somehow. The show is this Saturday and if we can't find anything by then I'll just operate it myself but I'd like to try and find what he's asking for first. If it doesn't exist, I'll build it myself and make my fortune. ;) Cheers.

paulears
The mods usually remove these kinds of posts - but a stomp box has been asked for many times, and we figured this was quite a useful tool!
